CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a large and well-established provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Tax Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Reporting to the Tax Director, you will supervise the tax compliance team, overseeing the tax compliance process on behalf of clients. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant field, and will need to be a full member of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA). Our client is seeking applicants who possess a minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in a tax related position, who hold excellent knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation. Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of the Taxation Department.
  • Supervising the tax compliance team and the tax compliance process.
  • Preparation of tax computations for individuals and companies.
  • Assisting with tax compliance work, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, issuance of certificates for tax clearance, tax residency, double tax treaties, and analyse tax assessments.
  • Participation in tax inspections performed by the Tax authorities on clients.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Law/Mathematics or any other related field from a reputable university.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Tax related position.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Cyprus tax legislation.
  • Knowledge of the provisions of Double Tax Treaties will be considered as an advantage.
  • Able to study and understand the laws related to the direct taxation of Cyprus.
  • Excellent use, both oral and written, of English language.
  • Ability to take initiative and identify solutions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • IT literacy with sound knowledge of Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
