CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Tax Associate to join their growing team based in Nicosia. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar, who possess 2+ years of relevant tax advisory experience gained working for a professional services firm. Full members of a relevant accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA) are encouraged to apply, as well as those working towards a professional qualification. You will need to possess sound knowledge of domestic and international direct tax related matters pertaining to individuals and companies, and be fluent in both verbal and written Greek and English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of the Taxation Department.
- Preparation of tax computations for individuals and companies.
- Ensuring clients’ companies are tax compliant and that the optimal tax strategy is implemented as per Cyprus and International tax law and regulations.
- Preparation and submission of tax returns, issuance of certificates for tax clearance, tax residency, double tax treaties, and analyse tax assessments.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments and understanding how they impact companies.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field is ideal.
- Member of a Professional Accounting Body (ACA/ACCA/CPA) or studying towards a relevant qualification.
- 2+ years of tax compliance/tax advisory experience gained working for professional services firm is a must.
- Understanding and knowledge of domestic and international direct tax related matters pertaining to individuals and companies.
- Dynamic with high level of commitment and ability to take initiative.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
