THE POSITION

We seek to recruit an experienced Senior Commercial Manager – Technology Transfer based in Cyprus or Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for International Sales activities for Technology Transfer laboratory establishments to carry out NIPT and other genetic testing.

PROFILE OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will be someone with an ability and proven track record in working independently. This role is suited to someone who is self-starting, will take initiative and can work without the daily guidance of their manager.

With a robust commercial sense and senior experience and still hands-on, this role could evolve into building and leading a sales team within this area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Driving the sales and commercial growth will be a success KPI for this role and therefore the primary responsibility will be achieving the growth and sales targets set
  • Leading and driving the customer acquisition sales process from qualifying prospect to closing with Tech Transfer project team
  • Lead the commercial deployment process incl. hand-over of responsibility for ongoing partner management to Application Specialist
  • Make contacts internationally, set up meetings with potential clients, prepare and deliver appropriate presentations, negotiate, and sell Technology Transfer laboratory establishment to carry out NIPT and other genetic testing
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling networking and travelling
  • Maintain and enhance existing client relationships
  • Work closely with the R&D and Marketing teams to implement customer feedback into the product line-up.
  • Represent the company on international conferences

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of previous experience in leading complex sales projects in an international environment, is a prerequisite
  • University Degree, preferably in Biological or Biomedical Sciences, and/or an MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively.
  • Work flexibly with considerable international travel (60% of time traveling) and time commitment outside of normal working hours.
  • Fluent proficiency in English is required. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Based in Europe with the relevant working permit
