Overview

The Purchasing Administrator will be mainly responsible for ordering products and services from vendors based on the signed sales orders from customers. The Purchasing Administrator will also follow up with vendors on shipment and delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) and Sales orders (SOs) in the ERP system according to the signed sales orders/agreements
  • Maintain inventory items and master data in the ERP
  • Follow up with vendors daily to ensure that products are shipped and delivered on promised dates and update ERP accordingly
  • Coordinate with Storekeeper and Helpdesk for deliveries of products to customers
  • Check the prices on invoices received by vendors against the original POs placed
  • Support the Accounts team on the correct posting of the costs
  • Support the Accounts team on the payment of the suppliers
  • Take quotations to cover the needs of the company in new assets or consumables
  • Maintain all ISO forms related to Purchasing.
  • Responsible for the filling of all orders.
  • Periodic preparation of report for open POs in the ERP system and follow-up to solve any issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in Business, Economics or other relevant equivalent studies.
  • Very good knowledge of English and Greek is essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Working experience with Navision ERP will be considered an advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, communicate progress and meet deadlines
  • Notable organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage priorities
