Job Description
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a water treatment plant with operations across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a number of Plant Shift Operators to join their growing teams based in both Larnaca and Limassol. The successful applicants will be responsible for recording data related to factory operations, as well as monitoring and operating equipment and machinery. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 1+ year of work experience in a relevant industrial environment. An attractive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience. Flexibility and adaptability to a 24/7 operating plant are essential.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Record data related to the factory’s operation.
- Monitor and operate factory equipment and machinery.
- Collect samples and perform laboratory analyses.
- Monitor the operation of unit processes and factory equipment.
- Perform special tasks to improve factory operations.
- Conduct maintenance tasks based on the skills and experience of the position holder.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Higher education diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another related field.
- 1+ year of work experience in a similar industrial environment, e.g., in production processes or chemical industries or in the technology sector (electrical/mechanical technician) will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate.
- Ability to collect and analyze information and make quick and accurate decisions.
- Good command of the English language.
- Ability and willingness to work on rotational shift-patterns to ensure 24/7 plant operations.
