CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established Law Firm offering a range of legal services including Corporate, Commercial and Litigation to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling a variety of litigation cases and will be adept at providing expert legal counsel, strategic advice, and representation to clients during court proceedings. You should be educated to degree level in Law, and be a full member of the Cyprus Bar Association. Our client is seeking applicants who possess a minimum of 1+ year of relevant post-qualification experience in Litigation, who are fluent in both verbal and written Greek & English. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th Salary.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research to analyze and interpret laws, regulations, and precedents relevant to each case.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court, addressing judges, juries, and opposing counsel.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information and evidence.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients on potential outcomes and options.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, experts, and consultants to build strong cases.
  • Manage case-related tasks, including documentation, deadlines, and court appearances.
  • Stay current with legal developments and trends, and apply this knowledge to cases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and records.
  • Provide exceptional client service by maintaining open communication and addressing client concerns.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that might impact ongoing cases.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal staff, as needed.
  • Participate in continuing legal education to stay updated on industry trends and changes.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Law.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • A minimum of 1+ year of legal post-qualification experience in litigation is essential.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English language, both written and spoken and computer literate.
  • Ability to multitask and use critical judgment.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work well in a team environment.
