The Island Private School of Limassol in Cyprus opened for the first 500 students in September 2022, and is now looking for competent, experienced and, above all, passionate IT Director to join the team.

We are also in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site to be completed approximately by end of 2025, that will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. Job Summary:

The IT Director is responsible for managing the school’s IT systems and ensuring they support the school’s academic and administrative processes. The IT Director will oversee a team of two IT professionals and collaborate with school leaders to identify and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the school’s IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the school’s technology systems operate efficiently and securely.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to identify technology solutions that support academic and administrative processes.
  • Implement and maintain school IT Systems  that support key academic and administrative processes.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of hardware and software, ensuring compatibility with the school’s systems and security protocols.
  • Manage and develop the school’s IT team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to support the school’s technology systems.
  • Develop and manage the school’s IT budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage vendors and contribute into creating cost-efficient contracts.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in education technology, making recommendations for future technology initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management and administration, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of IT professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with school leaders, staff, and students.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or MCSE are an advantage.

Working Hours: 9:00 – 18:00 (1 hour break)
