Overview

On behalf of our client, a leading Group of Companies in the automotive sector in Cyprus, we seek to recruit an experienced and high calibre professional for the position of Group Service Manager, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, controlling and increasing efficiency of Service Operations, as well as design and deployment of all processes for the Service Department. The aim is to achieve strategic and operational goals of the Service function as well as maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and positive brand image.

More specifically, key responsibilities of the successful candidate will be amongst other:

  • Devise, plan and set-out future-directed strategic and operational goals as well as ensure profitability for the Department
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and forecasts, keep record of financial information and manage and control costs
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the Group’s workshops on a weekly basis in collaboration with the workshop Managers, ensuring that all set objectives are being achieved
  • Provide support to the workshop teams while implementing new procedures and guidelines
  • Hire employees, manage and allocate tasks to the team and execute performance evaluations to ensure smooth operation of the Department and capacity fulfilment
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Department, provide guidance and identify opportunities for team training and/or skills advancement in order to achieve maximum performance
  • Work closely with Sales Management to ensure constant communication with respect to complaints with the aim to achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environment regulations and requirements within the Department
  • Maintain existing clients and actively engage new clients by following network development strategy
  • Oversee workshop needs for necessary tools and equipment to ensure compliance with the latest guidelines and regulations set by the manufacturers
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and complaints, and resolving successfully any challenging customer incidents
  • Direct and supervise workshop teams by proposing expert opinion for exceptional cases, escalating any technical issues and preparing technical product reports towards the Manufacturers when deemed necessary
  • Determine the requirements related to marketing activities for the Service Department
  • Manage all Recall and Service Measure campaigns to ensure their successful implementation, as well as collaborate closely with Warranty department to escalate any discrepancies or issues, in order to identify the best solution
  • Remain informed on any related market trends

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is considered an advantage
  • At least five years of experience in a similar position preferably in the automotive sector
  • Previous experience in direct management of middle size teams
  • Effective leadership and management skills along with ability to provide directions to his/her team
  • Solid experience in dealing with customers and suppliers, strong customer orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial awareness, business orientation and sales acumen
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer literacy including advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
