Overview
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and accountability for business commercial activities, in order to achieve budget/forecast commitments.
- Measure the company’s monthly performance for actuals vs budget and forecast with a focus on revenue, margins, pricing, expenses, profitability, working capital.
- Prepare and analyze financial information and action plans and provide fact-based financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
- Effectively control of costs by monthly cost reviews and proactively assist the company in identifying opportunities for improvements and cost reductions.
- Provide high-quality financial analysis and commentary for presentation to the Board of Directors.
- Monitor and maintain work in progress related inventory management, rebates agreements from suppliers and, identify potential commercial issues that affected financial results and take responsibility for resolution.
- Actively seek continuous improvement projects with a view to improving the business.
- Supervise the Controlling & Accounting team
- Ensures that operational processes and procedures are compliant and consistent with established policies.
- Be prepared to get hands-on and expand sphere of influence in resolving issues and exploiting new opportunities as they arise.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc degree in Finance or a related field.
- 6 years working experience in Finance preferably in retail sector (At least 2 in managerial position)
- Ability to manage large number of projects at any time, coupled with experience of internal auditing
- Strong commercial and finance awareness willing to act as business partner.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- SAP knowledge (FI,CO-PA modules)
