Job Description

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Group of Companies that specialise in the construction and development of luxury residential projects in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Construction Project Manager to join their growing team based in Larnaca. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other closely related fields, with any previous experience in construction project management considered a significant advantage. A track record of successfully managing residential and/or commercial development projects from inception to completion is highly desirable, as well as a solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials. You will act as a central point of contact, coordinating with all project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, and in budget. A competitive remuneration package is available, based on skills and experience.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Engage in proactive communication and collaboration with architects, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Take initiative in serving as a central point of contact, ensuring seamless coordination, issue resolution, and productive collaboration among all stakeholders involved.
  • Obtain competitive quotations from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, employing diligent negotiation and selection processes based on factors such as cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability.
  • Efficiently organize and schedule tasks in accordance with the overall project timeline and the specific schedules of contractors, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing delays.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in handling client requests and modifications within their property, working closely with architects to implement tailored solutions that meet client needs and preferences.
  • Provide comprehensive assistance to clients by addressing technical queries and concerns related to the construction process, materials, and project specifications, ensuring informed decision-making and satisfaction.
  • Conduct rigorous inspections of completed work to uphold standards of quality, safety, and compliance, promptly addressing any deficiencies or deviations through collaborative problem-solving with stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of delivering the project scope within agreed parameters, including quality standards, timeframe, budget, and other key performance indicators, actively monitoring progress and mitigating risks as necessary.
  • Foster productive relationships with rural and survey engineers to facilitate the divisional application process for individual title deeds, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials is highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
