The Business Development Manager – Lenovo DCG will have overall responsibility for enabling the sales of Lenovo DCG products and services in Greece. Responsibilities include building a long term sustainable go to market plan and Lenovo sales plan.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

The person to be appointed will be expected to successfully:

  • Manage sales activities of Lenovo DCG products.
  • Meet major customers on regular intervals and promote Lenovo DCG and IT technologies.
  • Develop relationship with key stakeholders within the vendor.
  • Ability to approach and build C-level relationship with partners.
  • Negotiate at local vendor level additional incentive/promotion funds.
  • Track and ensure rebate claims are processed and received.
  • Track and claim any other additional funds offered by the vendor.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports to the Management Team of Logicom.
  • Continuously maintain an updated view on the product updates and roadmap to ensure expected level of product knowledge & product accreditations, where applicable.
  • Deliver on a monthly basis the revenue forecast.
  • Interact very closely and on a daily basis with the Account Managers to ensure they are ready and well enabled to promote and sell the Lenovo products.
  • Generate, track and report sales proposals and leads. Follow up on projects and close deals.
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the products.
  • Perform product demos & product presentations to customers together with the assistance of the rest of the team.
  • Delivering presentations about Lenovo DCG to specific events, fairs, etc.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 3 years of Product Management selling experience within the IT technology sector especially in the servers and storage area.
  • University Graduate in Business Management, Information Technology/ Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of the Greek distribution market & IT Products.
  • An understanding of Lenovo DCG products and services will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to build strong trusting relations with customers/partners and other associates.
  • Excellent oral /written communication skills (English & Greek) with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships with customers.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communications as well as influencing skills.
  • Presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and with other internal teams.
  • A record of accomplishment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing and often conflicting priorities.
